The Streets of Williamsburg

The Gentleman in these two pictures above was singing some songs
that workers might have sung during the Colonial period.
The Lady is sewing some towels - she is playing the part of
an indentured servant girl.

Below is a picture of an alleyway - the gardens were beautiful
even for January!


 

The shops and houses had signs above their doors to indicate
who lived there or what the store produced or sold.
